Life & Ministry Update June ’26

Times and Boundaries

Dear friends and ministry partners,

I recently spoke at a church in Dallas, TX inviting them to join us at our conference on missions, Muslims, and the heart of God called Legacy. I shared briefly from Acts 17:26–28 where Luke reminds us that “From one man all nations were created and God has appointed the times and boundaries in which they are to live so they may reach out and find him, even though He is not far from them. ” He is telling us that every person and every nation exists and is under God’s sovereignty. Nothing is accidental. The Father desires all people to seek him, find him, and be restored to him, including ourMuslim neighbors!

This passage also serves as an encouragement that even in seasons of tension and uncertainty around things likes immigration, God remains sovereign over where people live and when they live there. As believers, we have a God-ordained opportunity to lovingly point the nations back to their Creator—even right here at home.

This passage has felt especially personal to our family lately as we prepare for a major transition of our own. The appointed time for us in Evansville is coming to a close and new boundaries are being established for us in North Idaho. We have sold our house in Indiana and will be moving to Post Falls, ID July 1st. This is not a new thing. It’s something we’ve been praying about since before we left South Africa. We are hopeful for a new season of spiritual growth, ministry opportunities, and a strengthened family bond as we continue seeking the Lord, even though He is never far from us!

While my responsibilities with Horizons remain the same, I did receive a title change. Our Leadership team has decided to change my title from U.S. Training Coordinator to Director of Training, North America. I am grateful for their trust and humbled to continue serving in this role.

Please continue in prayer for the work we are doing. Our training team has a lot on our plate at the moment. I was in Lebanon last fall to lead the re-recording project of our Engage Muslims with Christ training series which is now being edited and prepared for release. Georges and I will also be back in Evansville at New Beginnings Lakeside Church for another live training and recording of a 2nd level Engage series. Please keep these projects in your prayers as we finalize content and prepare for the event. I’d love to see all of you join us that weekend, Aug. 28-29. A new project that we are beginning to get off the ground nationally is the Nehemiah Network. This initiative brings churches, ministries, and individuals together in their city to work in unity to reach immigrants, refugees, and international students. We have started one in Evansville with Megan Danks as the City Coordinator. If you would like to be involved in the Evansville network or want to explore starting one in your city, I’d love to connect with you. To find out more about the Nehemiah Network here: horizonsinternational.org/nehemiahnetwork.We are grateful for your partnership and are always encouraged when we hear from you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out and connect with us.

Yours in Christ,
Jesse
